Teenager Life Skills, Motivation and Self Discovery

As Christians, particularly as teenagers, it is increasingly difficult to keep running the race as the world gets darker and darker.  But God didn’t call us to be quitters, or to “hide our light under a bushel, “ he wants us to shine it brightly as Christ’s disciples.  It is for this reason that all Christians should read this new discipleship book by Bill Hull.

If you agree with most of the Bible believing Christian world, then you probably feel like we are living in the last days.  You would be right about this, as so many of today’s current events have been prophesied 2,000 to 3,000 years ago.  So if we believe this, we might also assume that God put us here, at this time, to serve His purposes.  Rather than shrinking away from this command or saying we’re “just to busy to serve the Lord,” maybe it’s time we asked ourselves if our priorities are straight.

When one reads about the seven churches in Revelation, it’s clear that John was referring to the different types of churches, and Christians, who would exist throughout the Church Age.  But as you think about these churches, you may find that you or your church identifies too much with lukewarm philosophies and a lack of discipline. However, in Peter 2:9 it says that we are the chosen people and we are the holy nation.  He called us out of darkness so that we would declare His righteousness and glory throughout the earth.  Bill Hull deals with this calling in his landmark discipleship book, The Complete Book of Discipleship.  In it, he talks about this and many other “turnkey” Bible verses.

In Romans 6:23, it says “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”   If we truly believe this, can we go on allowing the people in our lives that choose to ignore this truth?  When we see how much darkness and sin has infiltrated our modern society, and how rapidly we are approaching the final hour, it is crucially important to spread the wisdom of God’s Word throughout the world.

As a discipleship book, The Complete Book of Discipleship has a lot to say about topics such as transformation, spiritual growth, and discipleship in the local church and beyond.  Read this discipleship book by Bill Hull and answer the call on your life to follow Jesus.
